Hurricane Ida path LIVE 130mph mega-storm strengthens to Category 4 storm as thousands flee
STORM ‘CONTINUES TO GROW’
National Weather Service chief New Orleans meteorologist Benjamin Schott told USA Today Network that the storm will “continue to grow,†the Daily Advertiser reported.
He said: “It’s going over water that is very deep and will provide plenty of energy for it to continue to grow.
“You may think you know what to expect, but you’d probably be wrong.â€
Schott warned that the state of Louisiana will be seeing “something very similar to Hurricane Laura,â€
