Driver dashes out of the way as lorry ploughs into a line of stationary traffic in China

This is the dramatic moment a man narrowly avoided getting ploughed into when an out-of-control truck hit a line of traffic in southern China.

Shocking video footage, filmed in the city of Sanming in Fujian Province on September 20, showed a truck suddenly smashing into a row of stationary cars, which appeared to be stuck in a long queue of traffic.

In the clip, a driver is seen standing next to his black car with the door open, as he looks ahead to see what is causing the traffic jam, which is at a complete standstill.

But the motorist turns around in alarm as he hears a loud crashing noise from just a few cars behind him.

Within seconds, the row of parked cars, one of which had only just come to a stop, are pushed forwards as an out-of-control truck smashes into the back of them.

The driver amazingly manages to escape apparently unharmed and stands to the side as he surveys the scene, while other drivers involved in the pile-up get out of their dented vehicles.

Other bystanders quickly join him and the driver of the truck, which had a suspected brake failure, is seen climbing out of the vehicle.

In a follow-up video, a male driver of a gold taxi, which has received the full force of the truck smashing into its side, has to climb out of the windscreen after becoming trapped in the car

In a follow-up video, a male driver of a gold taxi, which has received the full force of the truck smashing into its side, is apparently seen trapped inside the vehicle, attempting to push the smashed windscreen out of the frame in a bid to escape.

A man uses a hammer to try and smash the rest of the intact windscreen as other pedestrians attempt to free the man.

They eventually manage to pull the smashed windscreen out of the frame, and the man is seen climbing out from inside the vehicle, seemingly unharmed.

The vehicles were damaged in different degrees but no casualties were reported.

The case is under further investigation, according to local media reports.
