Jon Stewart Dives Into Societys Problems In New Apple TV Show

Jon Stewart is headed back to your screen. The talk show host’s new current affairs series, The Problem with Jon Stewart, premieres on Apple TV+ starting Sept. 30, and the show’s trailer teases Stewart tackling all sorts of social “problems.”

In the 30-second teaser, Stewart can be seen discussing everything from the struggle to comprehensive veteran care to systemic racism to better ways to better ways to support the American working class. There’s a glimpse at a producers meeting, a lively guest panel, and two sit-down interviews: One with U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Denis McDonough, and one with U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen.

According to an official press release, the show “explores complex topics through the differing perspectives of stakeholders, experts, and individuals confronting these challenges.”

“Welcome to The Problem With Jon Stewart. We should put a comma in that,” Stewart jokes at the end of the trailer.

The Problem With Jon Stewart marks Stewart’s first TV hosting role since he stepped down from The Daily Show in 2015, and his first project under his multi-year deal with Apple TV+.

The show is run by Brinda Adhikari, who serves as an executive producer alongside Stewart, Richard Plepler, and James Dixon. Chelsea Devantez is head writer and Lorrie Baranek is supervising producer.
