Nick Gates fractures leg vs Washington in big Giants blow

Giants offensive lineman Nick Gates was carted off the field in the first quarter of Thursday’s game against the Washington Football Team after sustaining a lower leg fracture.

Gates became tangled up with Washington tackle Daron Payne and fell to the ground clutching his leg.

The 25-year-old was seen smiling and waving to the crowd at FedEx Field as he was taken off the field via injury cart.
