Yoga instructor busted in connection to serial groping attacks in NYC
Cops busted a 37-year-old yoga instructor in connection to the sickening spree of groping attacks by a moped-rider in Manhattan, law enforcement sources told The Post Saturday.
Detectives from the Manhattan Special Victims Squad busted suspect James White, Friday afternoon around 5 p.m. near Grand and Forsyth streets in the Lower East Side, police sources said.
White was allegedly behind six of the nine attacks â€" including one with 11-year-old victim â€" that began Aug. 2, at Sixth Avenue and West 50th Street. The last reported attack was Monday in the East Village, cops said.

“He was wearing a mask and a hoodie and looking at the women walking around,†said a law-enforcement source. “It’s a good thing he was arrested especially now that school is opening and there will be a lot more young women walking in the area.â€
In each case, the suspect rolled up to his victims on a red and black moped, and grabbed their breasts without uttering a word. White owns a moped that is similar to one seen in surveillance images, police sources said.
White, of Manhattan, was charged with sex abuse in the first degree, endangering the welfare of a minor regarding one case involving an 11 year old and six counts of forcible touching, said Sergeant Jonathan Cruz of the Manhattan’s Special Victims Squad.
